Samantha T

Samantha T is an experienced language educator and translator with a focus on Japanese linguistics. Currently serving as a Floor Associate at the East-West Center since January 2021, Samantha promotes community engagement among residents. Concurrently, a Graduate Assistant Japanese Teacher at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, responsibilities include preparing materials, grading, and conducting office hours for students. Previous experience includes roles as a Japanese Translator for Edisen and Art-Noise Pte Ltd, a Support Officer at Arkadin, and an Interpreter/Tour Guide for the National University of Singapore. Samantha holds a PhD in Japanese Linguistics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and has completed a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in English Linguistics from the National University of Singapore.
