Stuart Coleman is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental advocacy and education. Since 1999, Stuart has served as the Hawaiian Islands Field Coordinator and Vice Chair for the Surfrider Foundation. In parallel, Stuart has been the Service Learning & Leadership Coordinator at the East-West Center since January 2006. Additionally, Stuart is an accomplished author, with notable works including "Fierce Heart," published by St. Martin's Press in 2009, and "Eddie Would Go," published by MindRaising Press since July 2002. Stuart holds an MFA in Creative Writing and Journalism from American University (1991-1993) and a BA in English and Spanish from the University of South Carolina (1983-1987).
