Mari Gabunia

Mari Gabunia serves as the Civil Society Capacity Building Coordinator for the USAID Civil Society Engagement Program at the East-West Management Institute since February 2022. Additionally, Mari has been a Trainer and Facilitator of Civic Education at MitOst e.V. since 2015, specializing in training design and facilitation across various topics including project management, civil society activism, and political awareness. Previous roles include Lecturer of Democratic Governance at BTU and local expert on Community Development for the Black Sea Trust, where Mari co-developed a manual and conducted community training. Mari's educational background includes multiple Master's degrees in Adult Education for Social Change, Education, and Cultural Management, as well as ongoing doctoral studies in Philosophy at Ilia State University.
