Makana Mandiwana

Makana Mandiwana is an experienced Investment Promotion Officer at the Eastern Cape Development Corporation, responsible for investment attraction, facilitation, and promotion since June 2022. Prior to this role, Makana worked at the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition from January 2012 to September 2022, focusing on promoting and facilitating investments in South Africa’s services industries, including ICT and tourism. Responsibilities included identifying investment opportunities, improving the investment environment, and coordinating strategic projects with various government agencies. Makana holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics with a focus on Applied Economics from Nelson Mandela University.
