Melvin Layden

Melvin Layden is currently working as a Surveyor at Accreditation Canada and as a Faculty for the Long-Term Care Executive Leadership Course at HealthCareCAN - SoinsSantéCAN. Prior to these roles, Melvin has held several positions at Eastern Health, including Regional Director for Long-Term Care and Infection Prevention and Control, Regional Manager for Personal Care Homes & Placement Services, Division Manager, and Resident Care Manager in Long-Term Care. Melvin has a Master's degree in Nursing from Athabasca University, a Post-Basic Gerontology Program for Registered Nurses from Health Care Corporation of St. John's, and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
