Jillian Broadbear has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of research and academia. Jillian currently holds the position of Head of Research and Innovation at Spectrum, Eastern Health since December 2013. Prior to this, they worked at Monash University in various roles, including Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor, Adjunct Senior Lecturer, and Senior Lecturer from 2005 to present. Jillian also served as a Research Fellow at Monash Medical Centre in 2004. Earlier in their career, they held the position of Senior Research Fellow at Monash University from 2002 to 2003. Furthermore, Jillian gained valuable research experience as a Research Assistant, PhD student, and Post-doctoral fellow at the University of Michigan Medical School from 1991 to 2001. Jillian started their career as a Research Assistant in Clinical Pharmacology at the Austin Hospital, University of Melbourne from 1988 to 1991.
Jillian Broadbear has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Pharmacology from Monash University, which they obtained from 1985 to 1987. Jillian further pursued their education at the University of Michigan, earning a Master's degree in Biological Psychology from 1993 to 1995. Jillian continued their studies at the same institution and completed their PhD in Biological Psychology from 1993 to 1998. In 2005 to 2007, they also obtained a Graduate Diploma in Higher Education from Monash University.
