Padam Acharya

Padam Acharya, Ph.D., is a distinguished Postdoctoral Research Associate at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy since August 2019, specializing in the design, synthesis, and purification of dye-based probes with extensive expertise in Fluorescein/Dabcyl, Rhodamine/QSY7, and TAMRA/Cy5 dyes. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The University of Toledo from August 2014 to July 2019, where work focused on the total synthesis of natural and un-natural products for anti-cancer evaluation, including the synthesis of S-linked Trisaccharide Glycal. Additional academic roles include Lecturer in Chemistry at Trinity International College and Lecturer in Organic Chemistry at Nimble International Academy from 2011 to 2014. Padam Acharya holds a Ph.D. from The University of Toledo (2014-2019), a Master's degree in Organic Chemistry from Tribhuvan University (2009-2012), and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the same institution (2006-2008).
