Kandace Dacosta

Adjunct Professor at Eastern Mennonite University

Kandace DaCosta is an experienced school counselor at Hempfield School District since August 2008, dedicated to addressing students' academic, personal/social, and career development needs through a comprehensive counseling program. In addition, Kandace serves as a board member for the Hempfield Foundation, contributing to the support of educational initiatives through grants and scholarships. As an adjunct professor at both Messiah University and Eastern Mennonite University, Kandace provides graduate-level instruction in school counseling and trauma-informed education. Kandace has also acted as a dissertation committee member for several doctoral candidates at Immaculata University. Prior roles include working as a middle school counselor and a high school counselor as a long-term substitute. Kandace holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership, a Master's degree in Counselor Education, and a BA in Psychology, alongside a certification in Trauma and Resilience in Educational Environments.
