Encik Ridzuan Ali is EPIC’s newly-appointed Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO), starting on 17th April, 2022. He is an experienced business operator for specialized services in oil and gas operation involving the separation of waste and solid in production. He has over 38 years of experience in oilfield engineering, including heading several business units in Scomi Group, and was one of the founders for Scomi’s global business. He was also overseeing the Group’s oil and gas business operations, including drilling fluids, drilling waste management, industrial and production chemicals.
He began his career as a drilling engineer with Shell Sarawak and subsequently held various positions in the Shell Group of companies including the Head of Global Support Group, Shell International in Holland, Head of Manufacturing and Planning of Shell Malaysia and Head of Economics at Sarawak Shell Bhd. In 1993, he pioneered the drilling fluids engineering business of KMC and successfully positioned the company as a domestic leader. In 1998, he joined Foxboro Malaysia as its General Manager where he successfully implemented the Foxboro system for MLNG-3 and Optimal plants in Kertih. In 2002, he joined Peremba Construction Sdn. Bhd. as the Group Chief Operating Officer. Thereafter, he was called back to SCOMI Group in 2004, as business manager focusing on Global Business Development.
Encik Ridzuan Ali holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from University Teknologi Malaysia and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
