Evan Fago (he/him/his) is an expert in developing, implementing, and measuring the performance of organizational sustainability and energy management programs covering an array of topics, including facility energy and water management, advanced utility metering, renewable energy procurement and development, solid waste diversion, greenhouse gas emissions accounting and mitigation, green building design, climate adaptation and resilience, and sustainable procurement. Since joining ERG in 2002, Evan has collaborated with and supported federal, municipal, and university clients in their efforts to benchmark existing operations and strategically identify, plan, implement, and evaluate cost-effective opportunities to optimize sustainability performance. His work includes preparing agency-level strategic plans, managing facility energy and water audits, developing and implementing climate action plans, conducting facility climate resilience assessments, developing organizational policies and technical guidance, and establishing intelligent data management systems to support informed decision-making.
Evan holds an M.S. in energy policy and climate from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in atmospheric science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM®) and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP®).
