Theresa Forthofer has a diverse work experience. Theresa started their career in 1990 as the Director of Recreation at Lutheran Social Services of Illinois - Augustana Center. Theresa then moved on to become the Senior Center Director at Wheaton Park District from 1991 to 1995. Following this, they served as the Executive Director at The Community House - Hinsdale from 1995 to 2011. Since 2011, they have been the President and CEO of Easter Seals DuPage & Fox Valley. In addition, they also worked as an Instructor at North Central College from 2017 to 2019.
Theresa Forthofer earned a Master's degree in Education from Bowling Green State University in 1991. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Gerontology degree in Parks, Recreation, and Leisure Studies from the same institution in 1989. In 1985-1986, Theresa attended George Williams College, but the degree and field of study are unknown.

Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley offers the most comprehensive pediatric outpatient rehabilitation services in the Midwest to more than 1,000 children with developmental delays and disabilities each week and support for their families. We believe every child deserves to thrive in an inclusive community. Services include: physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, mental health, nutrition and audiology. Additional services include diagnostic and specialty clinics, focused groups, intensive programs, and the Lily Garden, an inclusive childcare center.
