Michael Hawkins

Michael Hawkins is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the field of analytical chemistry and polymer film technology. Currently serving as the Analytical Manager for Performance Films at Eastman Chemical Company since December 2012, Hawkins specializes in defect analysis and chemical characterization of polymer films using advanced techniques. Prior roles include Senior Associate and Senior Research Chemist at Solutia Inc. and Solutia (UK) Ltd, where Hawkins focused on product and process development in various coated polymer applications. Hawkins' earlier experience includes leadership positions at BLC Leather Technology Centre Ltd and Courtaulds Research, where contributions involved synthesis and commercialization of organic materials. Hawkins holds an MA DPhil in Chemistry from Merton College, Oxford University.
