Yao Liu

Yao Liu has a varied work experience. In 2019, they served as the President of the ICI-USC Student Organization and the Senior Class President of the Student Government at Capistrano Valley Christian Schools. In their role at ICI-USC, they catalogued the STEM course plan for elementary school students, including elementary level math and science, and conducted service trips to rural places in China. In their role as Senior Class President, they led their class officers to put together activities for their class and surveyed the student body regarding their opinion on the school's level of satisfactory. In 2020, Yao Liu was a Marketing Team Member at Stanford University, where they created and revamped advertising videos to promote their online teaching APP, Taoli Online, and established a website to recruit potential resource providers for future videos. In 2021, Yao Liu was a Student Volunteer at USC Viterbi Impact Program and a Community Volunteer at the Australian Consulate-General, where they coordinated the art exhibition event of Yuendumu Doors and translated the story contents of the art pieces into written texts. In 2022, Yao Liu is a Research Student at USC Khajavikhan Photonics and Optics, a Competition Design Team Leader at USC Math Club, a Marketing Team Member at EasyTransfer, and a Test Team Intern at Sbs Science & Technology Co., Ltd. In their role as Competition Design Team Leader, they administer team members in the process of designing questions for local high school math competitions, gathers information from high school students regarding their mathematical knowledge broadness, and designs math competition questions. As a Marketing Team Member at EasyTransfer, they promote their internet service to international students and guides their clients to use their service to pay college tuition. As a Test Team Intern at Sbs Science & Technology Co., Ltd., they test new manufactured products, establishes a manual that includes procedures, video instructions, and precautions regarding the testing of the embedded computer CAD 1410 and CDM 2855, and assists developers in writing programs for testing new TSN products malfunctioning.

Yao Liu is currently attending the University of Southern California, where they are pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering/Applied and Computational Math. Prior to this, they obtained their High School Diploma from Capistrano Valley Christian Schools in 2021. Before that, they attended Torrance High School from 2017 to 2018. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from the California Scholarship Federation, National English Honor Society, and National Honor Society.
