Wiza Jalakasi

Wiza Jalakasi is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the fintech and technology sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Africa Expansion at EBANX since April 2023, Wiza leads regional expansion efforts for the Brazilian payments processor. As Events Lead for This Week in Fintech since January 2021, Wiza facilitates initiatives that connect Africa's fintech leaders. Previously, Wiza held the role of VP of Global Merchant Business at Chipper Cash, where successful projects included the integration of Twitter Tips and the launch of a merchant-facing API. Other notable positions include Head of Global BD & Strategy at Hover Developer Services and International Expansion Lead at Africa's Talking, with a track record of driving growth and securing significant deals. Wiza co-founded Djuaji and established MwTunes, Malawi's first music download platform. Wiza holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Technology from the United States International University - Africa.
