Venkatesh Palani

Venkatesh Palani serves as the Head of Engineering for Risk, Identity, and Compliance at eBay since 2016, where responsibilities include leading a team of over 300 engineers to create a transformative and scalable customer experience. Previous roles at eBay include Sr. Director of Engineering for Infrastructure, managing more than 100 engineers in Cloud Infrastructure and security initiatives, and Director of Software Engineering, focusing on optimizing site speed for web and mobile applications. Before eBay, Venkatesh held the position of Director of Engineering at Mimosa Networks and served as an Architect at Microsoft. Early career experiences include multiple engineering and architect roles across various companies in the U.S. and Australia. Venkatesh earned a Master of Engineering from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Madras.
