Aravind Sankar

Aravind Sankar serves as the Operations Team Lead for the European Genome-phenome Archive team at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) since January 2019, overseeing various projects including the UK Biobank and previously functioning as an Operations Bioinformatician and Lead Bioinformatician for significant initiatives. Prior experience includes a PhD Researcher role at both the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute and the University of Cambridge from January 2016 to December 2018. Academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Cambridge (2016-2020), a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from the University of Helsinki (2013-2015), and a Bachelor of Technology in Bioinformatics from Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology and Research Academy (2009-2013).
