Bilal El Houdaigui

Ensembl Applications Developer at European Bioinformatics Institute | EMBL-EBI

Bilal El Houdaigui is an experienced Ensembl Applications Developer at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) since April 2020. Previously, Bilal served as a Software Developer at INRA French National Institute for Agricultural Research from July 2018 to March 2020, focusing on managing and developing workflows for Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes of biological data and contributing to the International Plant Data Portal. Bilal's background includes a Master Internship at Microbiology, Adaptation and Pathogenesis, where a Stochastic Model for the Simulation of Transcription-Coupled DNA Supercoiling in Bacteria was developed using Python. Bilal holds a Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics from ENSA TANGER (2015-2017) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the Faculty of Sciences and Techniques of Tangier (2011-2015).
