Giuseppe Insana

Giuseppe Insana is a highly experienced bioinformatics scientist currently serving as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at the European Bioinformatics Institute since December 2018, specializing in the development and enhancement of the UniProt protein sequence databases. As the founder and director of the MediaGlyphs Project, Giuseppe has led initiatives in international communication and multilingual educational resources since May 2001. Previous roles include consulting on information security and business strategy at Geromics, business consulting at Studio Commercialisti Associati I&DV, and cryptocurrency consulting. Giuseppe holds a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from the University of Cambridge and has a strong educational background in business and biotechnology with degrees from Università degli Studi di Verona.
