Postdoctoral Fellow In Museum Practice

Julia Harth Hamilton, Ph.D., currently serves as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Museum Practice at both the Mississippi Museum of Art and Millsaps College since August 2025. Previously, Julia held various positions at The Ohio State University from August 2021 to August 2025, including Graduate Research Associate and Graduate Teaching Associate, teaching undergraduate courses on visual culture and television criticism. Experience also includes roles as Interpretation Consultant at the Columbus Museum of Art and Learning Guide Researcher at the Wexner Center for the Arts, contributing to digital learning guides and collaborative research projects. Julia's earlier teaching includes Spanish instruction at Lake Oconee Academy, along with internships at the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art, Oklahoma Contemporary, and the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Arts Administration, Education and Policy from The Ohio State University and dual degrees in International Studies/Global Studies and Art History from the University of Oklahoma, with additional studies in Spain and Israel.
