Nishadi de Silva

Nishadi De Silva currently serves as the Microorganisms Project Leader at EMBL-EBI since September 2016. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Software Developer at Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute from April 2009 to August 2016, and a Postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Southampton from November 2006 to November 2008. Additionally, Nishadi held the position of Technical Author and Head of Dissemination for the OMII-Europe project, a significant EU-funded initiative, from November 2006 to April 2008. Early career experience includes a brief tenure as a Trainee Software Test Engineer at IBM in 2002. Nishadi obtained a PhD in Computer Science and a BSc Hon in Computer Science with Distributed Systems and Networks from the University of Southampton between 2000 and 2006.
