Sara Chuguransky

Sara Chuguransky currently serves as a Biocurator for Interpro-Pfam at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) since January 2020. Prior to this role, Sara worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Laboratorio de Investigación y Desarrollo de Bioactivos (LiDeB) at Facultad de Ciencias Exactas-UNLP from April 2016 to October 2019, and completed a research internship at EMBL-EBI in June 2019 focusing on the annotation of repetitive proteins in the REFRACT project. Sara's academic background includes a Doctorate in Osteopathy from the Universidad Nacional de La Plata (2011-2016), supported by a CONICET Type II fellowship, and a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Facultad de Ciencias Exactas-UNLP (2004-2010).
