Tim Dyce

Tim Dyce has over 14 years of experience working in various roles related to information technology and scientific computing. Tim started their career as an IT Manager at the University of Melbourne from July 2006 to December 2007. From January 2008 to May 2011, they served as the HEP Research Computing Manager at the University of Melbourne.

In June 2011, Dyce joined the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University (OIST), where they worked as a Scientific Computing Manager until June 2012. Tim then took on the role of Chief Information Officer at OIST from July 2012 to November 2020.

In 2018, Dyce became a CERN Alumni Advisory Board Member (CAAB) at CERN, serving in that capacity until December 2019.

Their most recent position is the Head of Infrastructure at the European Bioinformatics Institute | EMBL-EBI, which they assumed in December 2020.

Tim Dyce obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Physics from the University of Melbourne, where they studied from 2001 to 2004. In addition to their formal education, Tim also holds certifications such as Scrum Master Certified (SMC) from Scrum Inc., obtained in December 2019, and PRINCE2 Practitioner from AXELOS Global Best Practice, obtained in May 2014.
