Mo Abudu has a diverse and successful work experience. Mo started their career at ExxonMobil as the Head of Human Resources from 1993 to 2000. In 2006, they launched their media career with Inspire Africa, where they hosted and produced Africa's first syndicated talk show, Moments with Mo. Mo later expanded their media empire by launching EbonyLife TV in 2013, Africa's first global black entertainment and lifestyle network. In 2014, they started EbonyLife Films, which has produced several successful films, and in 2018, they founded EbonyLife Media, a premium media conglomerate. In 2019, they became the Chief Executive Officer of EbonyLife Place, a luxury entertainment resort. In 2020, they took on the role of CEO at EbonyLife Studios, dedicated to creating world-class African stories. In 2021, they launched the EbonyLife Creative Academy in partnership with the Lagos State Government to provide free filmmaking courses. Throughout their career, Mo Abudu has been a trailblazer in creating original and inspiring content that showcases a progressive Africa.
Mo Abudu attended Ridgeway School, Mid Kent College, and West Kent College. Mo later went on to pursue a Masters Degree in Human Resources at the University of Westminster in London.
