Claire Rainford is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in corporate communications and public relations. Currently serving as the Head of Corporate Communications at the European Broadcasting Union since March 2016, Claire previously held various communication roles at BBC from July 2001 to December 2015, including Head of Communications for BBC Children's and BBC Learning, where leadership in press and PR for children's media was prioritized. Prior roles at BBC North involved developing comprehensive communication strategies across multiple platforms. Early in the career, Claire managed communications for St Helen's & Knowsley Health Authority and implemented PR strategies for Kenyon Fraser. Claire holds a Master’s degree in Social Anthropology and a Bachelor's degree in Geography from the University of Oxford, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
