Jean-Pierre Evain

Jean-Pierre Evain has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Jean-Pierre started their career as a Research Engineer at France Telecom in 1986 and then moved to Deutsche Telekom in 1988, where they held a similar role. In 1990, they returned to France Telecom as a Research Engineer before joining EBU in 1992. At EBU, they served as a Principal Project Manager, specializing in middleware, metadata, rights management, and copy protection. Currently, they are responsible for coordinating EBU activities on Artificial Intelligence, specifically in the areas of sport, news, and benchmarking.

Jean-Pierre Evain attended Lycee Romain Rolland from 1970 to 1975. Jean-Pierre then pursued a DUT degree in electronics at IUT Ville d'Avray from 1975 to 1978. Later, from 1980 to 1983, they attended Ecole nationale supérieure de l'Electronique et de ses Applications, specializing in telecommunications.
