Hamza Tabaqchali

Hamza Tabaqchali currently serves as the Group Head of Sanctions at Ebury, starting in December 2023. Prior to this role, Hamza was the ICG Risk and Controls Sanctions Lead at Citi from October 2022 to December 2023 and held various positions at HSBC, including Senior Manager of the Sanctions Programme and Oversight and Manager of the Sanctions Compliance Programme from October 2016 to October 2022. Earlier experience includes working as a Technical Operation Support Analyst at Lloyds Banking Group, where responsibilities included quality control and KYC analysis, and serving as a Paralegal at Citizens Advice Bureau. Hamza holds a Graduate Diploma in Law from BPP Law School, a degree in International Law from the University of Liverpool, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Middlesex University.
