Tjaard Sijpkes

Tjaard Sijpkes is currently an Associate Professor of Aerospace Engineering at TU Delft since September 2021. Prior to this position, they served as the Chief Technology Officer at EBUSCO, ZERO EMISSION, 100% ELECTRIC starting in February 2018. Tjaard was also a member of the Advisory Commission for Aerospace Vehicles at NLR - Netherlands Aerospace Centre from June 2015. Additionally, Tjaard Sijpkes served as a member of the Advisory Board for the Lectorate Kunststoftechnology at Windesheim from January 2016 and for Fontys Hogeschool Engineering from July 2012. Earlier in their career, they held the position of Head of Technology at Fokker Technologies Holding B.V. from October 2015 to February 2018. Tjaard was a member of the A-5 committee on landing gears at SAE International from April 2006 to February 2018. Tjaard Sijpkes also served as a board member for CompoWorld from March 2012 to December 2017. Tjaard was the Chief Technology Officer at Fokker Landing Gear from January 2014 to June 2016 and the Director of Technology & Engineering at Fokker Landing Gear B.V. from September 2004 to January 2014.

Tjaard Sijpkes obtained a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University Delft between 1979 and 1985.
