Benedict Hughes

Benedict Hughes is a seasoned professional in private equity and deal advisory, currently serving as Partner & Practice Leader for Pre-Deal Services EMEA at ECB STAR Group since September 2025. Previously, Benedict held the position of Head of Pre-Deal Advisory at DRAX from June 2021 to September 2025, where responsibilities included supporting private equity clients in origination, advisor sourcing, leadership assessment, and buy-in management. Earlier experience at Bain & Company involved roles from Senior Specialist to Associate Director in Deal Advisory, focusing on developing operational processes and supporting private equity practices. Benedict also contributed at Bohill Partners as a Senior Associate and began a career as a Parliamentary Assistant at the House of Commons.
