Laura Kaufmann has more than 15 years of experience working across the global nonprofit, corporate, and government sectors.
She is passionate about building strategic partnerships and delivering effective solutions to complex challenges facing nonprofit leaders and organizations, improving performance in fundraising, training, and communication of value and mission. Prior to joining Echoing Green, Laura served as Program Development Specialist for the Institute of International Education, where she collaborated with partners such as the Gates Foundation, Open Society Foundations, and Cargill, Inc., to secure funding and design programs supporting international exchange and global leadership development. In this role, she also worked successfully with international teams in Asia and Africa and cross-functionally across program and core operational teams.
Laura has volunteered for competitive scholarship panels for leading study abroad programs, internal organizational committees, and on Hope for New York's Community Grants Circle. She has served as a community-based mentor through Big Brothers Big Sisters NYC for over a decade and volunteered at the Variety Boys and Girls Club in Queens. She earned her B.A. at Covenant College and her M.A. at Boston University. In her free time, she loves cycling, watching classic films, and enjoying the diversity of food and entertainment available in NYC.
