Kevin Nilsen, PMP, EP has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Kevin began their career in 1998 as a Second Lieutenant in the Norwegian Armed Forces, where they served as a Deputy Platoon Commander and Section Leader. In 2005, they joined ECO Canada as the Director of Professional Services, focusing on business development, team leadership, and strategic management. Kevin then moved to Aker Solutions in 2012, where they worked as a Project Manager until 2014. Kevin later transferred to Managed Pressure Operations as a Strategic Accounts Manager, where they stayed until 2016. In their most recent role as President & CEO of ECO Canada, they specialized in training and certifying Environmental Professionals and collaborated with the public and private sectors in various initiatives. Kevin's work experience reflects their strong leadership and project management skills across different industries.
Kevin Nilsen, PMP, EP, has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Calgary, which they obtained from 2001 to 2005. In 2011, they obtained a Management Certificate, Stepping up to Management, from Harvard Business Services.
Kevin also holds a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Practice from Royal Roads University, earned from 2006 to 2008. Additionally, they completed Officer's Education in Military and Strategic Leadership at Befalskolen for Infanteriet i Tröndelag from 1999 to 2000.
Kevin has obtained several certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) in January 2010, and Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) from CPHR Alberta in March 2017. Kevin is also an Environmental Professional (EP) certified by ECO Canada, although the details of the certification have not been provided.
