Nick Blay has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Nick began their career in 2004 as a CBSA Officer at the Canada Border Services Agency, where they gained knowledge of immigration and importation laws. In 2006, they worked as a Customer Service Representative at Convergys, assisting customers with their mobile phone plans and devices. Nick also worked as a Cable Technician at PVS CONTRACTORS INC., responsible for installing and repairing cable television lines. In 2007, Nick worked as a Master Control Operator at Bell, monitoring on-air quality and encoding program material. Nick then joined Peace Arch Entertainment as a Third Assistant Director, coordinating various tasks on set. From 2008 to 2016, they worked as a MEDIA PROCESSING OPERATOR at Shaw Communications, where they were responsible for encoding and ingesting media for multiple channels. Currently, Nick is working at ecobee, starting as a Technical Support Specialist and progressing to positions such as Team Lead, Reverse Logistics Coordinator, Customer Operations Analyst, and currently serving as an Inside Sales Representative. Nick'sroles at ecobee involve providing support, troubleshooting, and managing customer relationships.

Nick Blay attended Niagara College from 2002 to 2005, where they obtained an Advanced Diploma in Broadcasting, with a focus on Radio/Television/Film. Nick'sfield of study within the program was Television/Film Production. In 2022, Nick obtained a Supply Chain Warehousing Certificate developed by the Association for Supply Chain Management in partnership with PROLOGIS.
