Sajid Mahmood

Sajid Mahmood has a strong background in hardware design and engineering. Sajid is currently working at ecobee as a Senior Hardware Designer since March 2021. Prior to that, they held a similar role at Baanto from January 2019 to March 2021.

Before joining Baanto, Sajid worked at NeuronicWorks Inc. where they initially started as a Hardware Designer in February 2017. Sajid then progressed to become an Intermediate Hardware Designer from May 2017 to January 2019.

Between 2016 and 2017, Sajid gained experience in fiber optics as a Fiber Optics Field Technician at Frontline Broadband Inc. Sajid also worked as a Unit Condition Inspector (Contract) at the University of Alberta from April 2016 to July 2016.

Earlier in their career, Sajid worked as a Hardware Design Engineer at Wavetec from February 2013 to January 2015 and at ABASEEN Intl. Pvt. Ltd. from June 2010 to November 2013.

Sajid Mahmood completed their Master's of Engineering degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Toronto Metropolitan University, from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Sir Syed University between 2006 and 2009. Additionally, in 2016, they completed a program in System Integration, specifically in Instrumentation Technology, at NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology).

In terms of certifications, Sajid Mahmood obtained several certifications in 2016. These include "SQL Essential Training" from Lynda.com, "Bronze Cross, CPR C & AED," "AMENITY ATTENDANT," "Bronze Medallion CPR A & AED," and "Emergency First Aid, CPR A & AED" from the Lifesaving Society Alberta and Northwest Territories.
