Tomas Zacek

Innovation director, Co-founder at Ecocapsule

Tomas Zacek has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of architecture. Tomas is currently serving as the Architect and Co-founder at Better | Virtual Architecture since January 2022. Prior to this, they co-founded and held various roles, including Innovation Director, CEO, and Design Director, at Ecocapsule from September 2014 to December 2020.

Tomas worked as an Architect and Partner at nice&wise from May 2017 to the present. Before that, they were associated with Nice Architects from February 2009 to July 2017, where they also held the position of Architect and Partner.

Tomas has also gained experience at other architectural firms. Tomas worked as an Intern Architect at Willy Muller Arquitectos from October 2008 to January 2009. Prior to that, they were an Architect and Project Architect at Aurex from November 2001 to September 2008.

Furthermore, Tomas has worked as a Design Assistant at BIG in 2007 and as an Intern Architect at Dominique Perrault Architecte in 2005. Tomas started their architectural career as an Assistant Architect at Mitchell and Associates from November 2004 to April 2005.

Tomas Zacek pursued their education in a sequential manner. Tomas started their academic journey at Gymnázium Jura Hronca, where they completed their high school education from 1994 to 1998. Tomas then proceeded to Slovenská technická univerzita v Bratislave, where they pursued a degree in Architecture and Building Constructions, receiving an Ing. degree from 1998 to 2003. Tomas further continued their education at the same institution and obtained their Ing.arch. degree in Architecture from 2003 to 2006.
