Michael Shelter

Prior to joining Ecogy, Michael served as the Assistant Director of Research Programs at the Columbia Climate School where he focused on forming interdisciplinary research teams, supporting the development of research grant proposals, and implementing an annual seed funding program to cultivate novel research projects, bringing together researchers from both the natural and social sciences. Additionally, Michael served in various roles with New York City Council in Northern Manhattan focusing on promoting education and wellness around the benefits of taking a more active role in sustainability and environmentally-conscious decisions.
