Jasmin Basic

Jasmin Basic is a prominent figure in the film and arts industry with extensive experience in various roles. Currently serving as the Coordinatrice Master Cinéma at ECAL University of Art and Design Lausanne/HEAD - Geneva since September 2019, Jasmin has held significant positions, including Head of Fiction Programme at FIFDH Genève and Senior Industry Consultant at Visions du Réel. As a co-founder and rédactrice for Tess Mag Travel, Jasmin contributes to cultural discourse through travel journalism. Active in academia, Jasmin lectures on Anthropology and Sociology of Development at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies and is a member of the Swiss Film Academy. Involved in several organizations, including Bidayyat for Audiovisual Arts and the Global Migration Film Festival, Jasmin has played pivotal roles in programming and selecting films for various festivals, enhancing the representation of diverse narratives in cinema. Educationally, Jasmin holds a Master of Arts from the University of Lausanne, complemented by studies focused on project management and accounting.
