Matthias Duwe

Matthias Duwe is an experienced professional in climate and energy policy, currently serving as the Head of Climate at the Ecologic Institute in Berlin, Germany, since September 2011, where responsibilities include coordinating climate and energy projects at the national, EU, and UNFCCC levels. Previously, Matthias held positions such as Member of the Board of Directors at Climate Action Network from August 2005 to December 2011, and Director of Climate Action Network Europe from February 2001 to August 2011, overseeing operations, fundraising, and external representation. Matthias also worked as a Policy Officer, focusing on monitoring policy processes, coordinating positions, and implementing advocacy strategies. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Development Studies from SOAS University of London and an Intermediate Diploma in Social Sciences with a specialization in Environmental Politics and Planning from Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg.
