Annie Benton

Annie Benton is an experienced professional currently serving as a Technical Specification Advisor - Regional at Ecological Building Systems since June 2024 and as the Director and Treasurer for StrawBaleUK since December 2023. Previously, Annie held the position of Development and Communication Manager at Natural Building Systems from September 2023 to March 2024. Annie's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Green Building and Building Physics from the University of East London, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from St Mary’s University, a Master’s in Neuroscience from King's College London, and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from the University of Plymouth. Prior to these roles, Annie worked as Head of Biology and Head of PSHE, Wellbeing, and RE at Pakefield High School from January 2019 to February 2023; as Head of Biology at The Benjamin Britten High School from September 2018 to December 2018; and as a Science Teacher and Head of PSHE at The Cardinal Wiseman School from August 2016 to August 2018.
