Steven Whittaker

Steven Whittaker has a strong background in biosciences and oncology research. Steven is currently the Director and Head of Biology at Econic Biosciences since February 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Oncology at Engitix Therapeutics from March 2020 to February 2023. Steven also served as a Team Leader for Molecular Drug Resistance at The Institute of Cancer Research from October 2013 to March 2020. In 2010, they held multiple roles, including a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, an Associated Researcher at The Broad Institute, and a Research Fellow in Medicine at Harvard Medical School. From 2004 to 2009, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute of Cancer Research, where they focused on generating novel RAF inhibitors for cancer treatment. Overall, Steven Whittaker has gained valuable experience in various research positions and has a strong focus on cancer biology and drug resistance.

Steven Whittaker earned a BSc (Hons) degree in Biochemistry from Brunel University London between 1995 and 1999. Following this, they pursued a Ph.D. in Molecular Pharmacology at The Institute of Cancer Research from 1999 to 2004.
