Erin Books has a diverse work experience in the field of ERISA (Employee Retirement Income Security Act) consulting and compliance. Erin is currently serving as the Director of Compliance at EGPS since January 2020. Prior to this, Erin worked as the Board President at ASPPA Benefits Council of the Greater Twin Cities since January 2019.

Before joining EGPS, Erin held several roles at Goldleaf Partners from April 2014 to January 2020. Erin served as the ERISA Consultant - Team Lead from December 2017 to January 2020, and as an ERISA Consultant from April 2014 to January 2020.

Prior to their time at Goldleaf Partners, Erin worked at Ascensus from June 2003 to March 2014. Erin served as an ERISA Consultant during this time and also worked as a Client Service Representative from May 2001 to June 2003.

Erin started their career with an internship at Merrill Lynch in January 2000, where they worked closely with a Financial Advisor until May 2000.

Erin Books completed a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Finance, from the University of Minnesota Duluth, where they studied from 1997 to 2001.

In terms of certifications, Erin obtained the Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) designation from the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries in November 2011. In May 2015, they became an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA) through the Internal Revenue Service. Lastly, Erin obtained the Tax-Exempt and Governmental Plan Consultant (TGPC) certification from the National Association of Plan Advisors in December 2017.
