Santiago Lara

Santiago Lara has extensive experience in business development and management within the energy and banking sectors. Currently serving as Desarrollador de Negocios Crudo at Ecopetrol since October 2020, Lara previously held the role of Líder Senior de Desarrollo Corporativo at Frontera Energy Corp. and worked as an Associate at Wood Mackenzie. Notably, during tenure at the Agencia Nacional de Hidrocarburos, Lara created fiscal regime models for oil and gas projects which led to significant policy changes. Prior roles include Senior Manager at Helm Bank, where Lara increased profitability in the personal banking segment, and various account management positions at Alepo, Velocity Electronics, and TTI, Inc., focused on business development across Latin America. Lara holds a Master's degree in Oil & Gas Enterprise Management from the University of Aberdeen and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Texas Christian University.
