Marissa S.

Marissa S. has a diverse range of work experience. Marissa started their career as an Intern at Shack Neighborhood House Inc, where they helped provide programs for families and children. Marissa then interned at the Alexandria Seaport Foundation, mentoring young adults and helping them gain career skills. Marissa also worked as a Community Corrections Intern at the Montgomery County Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, providing transitional services for incarcerated adults. Marissa later served as a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Associate at the John L. Gildner Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents.

Marissa's more recent experience includes being the Director of Development at The Thomas G Labrecque Foundation, where they organized fundraising initiatives and maintained the donor database. Marissa then took on the role of Director of Client Relations & Research at NextSteps Research, conducting research and analyzing innovation trends for Fortune 500 and PE-firms.

Most recently, Marissa joined Ecosystems.io as the Chief of Staff, supporting the executive team in developing growth strategies and implementing operational processes to enhance customer experience.

In 2022, they also participated in the Chief of Staff Fellowship at On Deck. Overall, Marissa has demonstrated their ability to excel in various roles across different industries.

Marissa S. obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Criminology from West Virginia University in 2015. From 2023 to 2025, they attended UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. In 2023, they also obtained certifications from Coursera, including "Foundations: Data, Data, Everywhere" and "Ask Questions to Make Data-Driven Decisions."
