Michelle Villar

Michelle Villar has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Michelle is currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Marketing at the New York City Economic Development Corporation since January 2023. Prior to this role, they held various positions at the New York City Department of Transportation from May 2006 to January 2023. Their roles at the Department of Transportation include Executive Director of Communications, Director of Strategic Communications, and Community Coordinator. Michelle also gained experience working at Gannon University as a member of the Center for Social Concerns from August 2003 to April 2006. Before that, they served as the After School Center Assistant Director at Good Shepherd Services from August 2002 to August 2003.

Michelle Villar completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising Communications at Gannon University from 1998 to 2002. Michelle later pursued a Master of Public Administration degree, also at Gannon University, from 2003 to 2005. Additionally, Michelle Villar obtained a certification as a National Child Passenger Safety Technician from Safe Kids Worldwide.
