Rafael Vieira da Silva has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Rafael started their career as an intern at Banco Santander in 2002 and later worked as an assistant auditor at KPMG until 2004. From 2004 to 2011, Rafael worked at Porto Seguro as a credit underwriter. Rafael then moved to Whirlpool Corporation in 2011 and held roles as a manager and senior manager in risk management until 2018. Following that, Rafael joined Owens & Minor as the director and later as a senior director of global risk management, where they worked until 2023. Currently, Rafael holds the position of Vice President of Risk Management at the New York City Economic Development Corporation.

Rafael Vieira da Silva's education history begins with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, which they obtained from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie from 2001 to 2004. Rafael then pursued further studies and completed a Pos Graduation Program in Accounting and Finance at FAAP - Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado from 2007 to 2009.

In 2010, Rafael enrolled in Insper Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Finance, General, which they completed in 2012. Afterward, they decided to enhance their knowledge in risk management and enrolled in NYU Stern School of Business from 2021 to 2022, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Risk Management.

In addition to their formal education, Rafael acquired the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) certification from The Institutes in March 2021.
