Ashley Wilson Brown has extensive work experience in the education sector, with their most recent positions including a Content Facilitator role at Teach For America and an Instructional Coach position at EdConnective. Ashley worked as an Instructional Specialist at both Charles R Drew Charter School and KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools, the latter of which included a Teacher Resident role. Prior to their education positions, they owned an Enrichment Center and worked as a Language and Literacy Facilitator at Atlanta Speech School. Their earliest positions were as an Administrative Assistant at The Lakes at Hurricane Creek and Staffmark, and a Paraprofessional at Fulton County Schools.

Ashley (Wilson) Brown received a Bachelor's degree in Speech Communications from Clark Atlanta University in 2008. In 2019, they enrolled in Relay Graduate School of Education to pursue an M.A.T. in Elementary Education and Teaching, which they completed in 2021. Ashley also obtained an additional certification in Elementary Education PK-5 from the Georgia Professional Standards Commission in 2021, and a Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce Certificate from Coursera in January 2023. Ashley completed a second Masters in Elementary Education and Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education in 2021.
