Beth Kovalcik

Instructional Coach at EdConnective

Beth Kovalcik has worked in the education field for over 20 years. In 2000, they worked as an E-Mission Curriculum Developer at the Challenger Learning Center. From 2001 to 2009, they worked as an Instructional Technology Program Coordinator and Elementary Classroom Teacher at Pittsburgh Public Schools. During this time, they were a keynote regional presenter at the Three Rivers Educational Technology conference and achieved Pittsburgh Public Schools Distinguished Teacher-Leader rating from 2012 to 2017. In 2017, they took a career pause to significantly contribute to their family. In 2019, Beth was a Professor of Instructional Technology in the PreK-4 Classroom at Duquesne University, where they developed professional development materials for pre-service teachers. In 2020, they were a Team Leader and Instructional Coach at Resurrection Parish. In 2021, they were an Administrative Intern and Instructional Coach at Bethel Park School District. Currently, Beth is an Instructional Coach at EdConnective, where they have a proven ability to determine and communicate targeted feedback and strategies to help teachers grow their instructional practice and improve learning outcomes for their students.

Beth Kovalcik holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching with a concentration in Elementary Math and Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Beth also holds a Master's degree in Education from Duquesne University. Currently, they are pursuing principal certification from Robert Morris University in Educational Leadership and Administration, General. Kovalcik has obtained various certifications from the Pennsylvania Department of Education, including Pennsylvania Instructional II K-6 certified (February 2004), Pennsylvania Instructional Technology Specialist K-12 certified (September 2003), and School Principal and Supervisor (anticipated in 2022). Beth also holds a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certification from ITTT - International TEFL & TESOL training, as well as a Teachscape IQAC Level II certification from Frontline Education.
