Christina Gibson

Christina Gibson has a diverse work experience in the education field. Christina started their career in 2007 as a 2nd and 3rd grade teacher at Kalie'iopu'u Elementary School, where they achieved high class average mastery in math and implemented a successful reading curriculum for struggling readers. From 2007 to 2009, they also worked as a Professional Learning Coordinator at Teach For America, facilitating sessions and mentoring first-year teachers.

In 2009, they became an ESL teacher at Global Kids International School in South Korea, where they developed and implemented a theme-based curriculum. Then, from 2010 to 2013, Christina worked at KIPP Philadelphia Schools as a Kindergarten Lead Teacher, Grade Level Chair, and Co-Teacher-Coach, leading students to high academic achievement in math and literacy.

Christina joined Teach For America again in 2013 as an Admissions Interviewer, selecting outstanding college graduates to join the teaching corps. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at KIPP Indy Public Schools as an Instructional Coach and Guided Reading Interventionist, providing intervention services and achieving significant literacy growth for struggling readers.

In 2017, Christina joined EdConnective as a Senior Instructional Coach, and in 2020, they became the Chairman of the School Board at The Preschool at CCC.

Christina Gibson attended Hope College from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Elementary Education and Teaching. During the same time, they also earned a Bachelors of Music degree in Music Performance. There is no information provided regarding any additional certifications or institutions.
