Lauren Asuma

Lauren Asuma has worked in the education field since 2003. Lauren began their career as a Teacher at Benteen Elementary in 2003, followed by a role as a Mentor Teacher at Dodge Academy in 2006. In 2013, they became a Primary Interventionist/Coach at CPS-Deneen School of Excellence, followed by a Teacher Pipeline Manager role at the Chicago Teacher Partnership Program- University of Illinois-Chicago in 2014. Since 2015, they have been an Instructional Coach at School District 45, and currently holds the same position at EdConnective since 2021.

Lauren Asuma earned their Master's degree in Early Elementary Education from Georgia State University in 2006. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English/Language Arts with an Emphasis on Elementary Education from Grand Valley State University in 2003.
