Roseanna Overbey Silva has a wealth of experience in the education and communications fields. Roseanna began their career in 2006 as a Summer Intern at Nevins and Associates, where they drafted press releases and media alerts, researched media contacts, and promoted events. In 2007, they joined Keybridge Communications as a Junior Writer, writing editorial correspondence and press inquiries for multiple clients, proofreading material, and monitoring news clipping services. Roseanna was promoted to Staff Writer in the same year and then to Director of Business Development in 2011. In 2011, they also took on the role of Associate Editor at EscapeWizard.com. In 2012, Silva began working at District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) as a Teacher, raising reading levels and increasing parental involvement. Roseanna then joined Excel Academy Public Charter School as a Pre Kindergarten Teacher and Co-Lead Teacher, where they were rated Exemplary by the school's teacher evaluation rubric. In 2018, Silva joined EdConnective as an Instructional Coach. Finally, in 2015, Silva joined AppleTree Early Learning Public Charter School, where they held the roles of Instructional Coach, Mentor Teacher/Lead Teacher, Family Engagement Leadership Team, and Early Childhood Educator. In 2021, they began working at AppleTree Institute for Education Innovation as an Implementation Specialist.

Roseanna Overbey Silva has a varied educational background. Roseanna earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Delaware in 2007, majoring in Psychology and English with a concentration in Journalism, and minoring in Theirtory. Roseanna then attended Johns Hopkins University School of Education and earned a Masters of Science in Education in 2017, specializing in Leadership in School, Family and Community Collaboration. Prior to this, they attended Quince Orchard High School from 1999 to 2003.
