Chaitanya Kabade

Chaitanya Kabade has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles in engineering and robotics. Chaitanya is currently working as a Robotics Engineer at EDDA Technology, Inc. since March 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Lead Robotics Engineer at American Specialties Inc. from February 2020 to March 2022.

Chaitanya also worked as an Application Engineering Intern at Indoor Buddy from July 2019 to January 2020, where they contributed to the development of an indoor navigation system for shopping malls. Chaitanya modified the design of conventional shopping carts using SolidWorks and integrated special devices on them. Chaitanya also collected live video from RICHO 360 camera and streamed it to the server.

Furthermore, Chaitanya gained experience as a Mechanical Design Intern at NYU Medical Center in May and June 2019. During this time, they redesigned a standard laryngoscope, introducing modifications to improve the view for intubation. Chaitanya also designed a throat retractor for robotic neck surgery and created a prototype using 3D printing technology.

At Sandip Engineering, Chaitanya worked as a Mechanical Engineer in two separate periods. From May to November 2016, they participated in the design, manufacturing, and automation of a multi-spindle boring machine. Chaitanya designed the reciprocating platform, implemented GD&T for precision manufacturing using CATIA V5, and automated the machine with a hydraulic system using Allen Bradley PLC and ladder logic development.

From July 2015 to April 2016, Chaitanya was involved in the design and manufacturing of a multi-spindle attachment for a drilling machine. Chaitanya performed a full lifecycle product development, including design, prototyping, and implementation, using SolidWorks for design and GD&T for manufacturing.

Lastly, Chaitanya completed a Mechanical Engineering Internship at Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Limited in June 2015. During this training, they acquired knowledge about production methods for pig iron and casting processes, as well as automation and control systems used in industrial plants.

Chaitanya Kabade completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Shivaji University, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Chaitanya then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering at New York University, from 2017 to 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Chaitanya also obtained several certifications to enhance their skills. Chaitanya completed the Introduction to Programming with MATLAB course at Vanderbilt University in September 2021. In September 2019, they obtained the Introduction to Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing certification from LinkedIn and Practical PLC Programming (PLC II) certification from Udemy. In July 2019, Chaitanya completed the PLC Programming from Scratch (PLC I) course from Udemy. Prior to their higher education, Chaitanya received training in CNC and VMC from ShivTech CNC, VMC training center in January 2017. In December 2015, they obtained certifications in Mechatronics & Programmable Logical Control from BOSCH-DKTE Advance training center and in CAITIA V5 from PROACTIVE COMPUTERS LIMITED. Chaitanya also completed the AutoCAD 2D/3D course from PROACTIVE COMPUTERS LIMITED in May 2015.
