Brian McNamara

Brian McNamara has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. Brian began their career as a Case Assistant at Foley Hoag LLP in 2005. Brian then worked as an Associate Attorney at K&L Gates from 2010 to 2011, where they primarily focused on investment management and compliance. From 2011 to 2015, Brian was a Corporate Counsel for Investment Advisory Services at Edelman Financial Engines. Brian then moved up to the position of Senior Counsel at the same company from 2015 to 2018. Brian then served as an Associate General Counsel at Edelman Financial Engines from 2018 to 2020, and eventually became the Vice President - Associate General Counsel, where they led various legal functions. In 2021, Brian joined TechGC as a Deputy GC Charter Member. Additionally, they briefly worked as a Consultant Attorney at J.P. Morgan in 2011, where they focused on SEC filings and client documentation.

Brian McNamara attended Tufts University, where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Psychology. Brian subsequently enrolled at Northeastern University School of Law, where they earned their Doctor of Law (JD) degree.
